SOLAR STREET LIGHTING GUIDE

A solar street lamp is a lamp technology that utilizes solar cell to obtain electrical energy during the daylight hour by solar radiation and then use the electrical energy to provide light at night. There are 3 types of major solar street light available.

i)                    Un-integrated solar street light

ii)                  Semi-Integrated solar street light

iii)                Fully-Integrated/All in One solar street light

i)             Un-integrated solar street light

Un-integrated solar street light fixture that a lighting solution which has separate solar panels, LED luminary and lead acid batteries, the battery comes with a separate unit in a box.

All in one Solar street light are available in 9watt to 30 watt

ii)      SEMI-INTEGRATED SOLAR STREET LIGHT

Semi Integrated solar street lights are the most successful models in present time.

semi-integrated solar lamp is different from old solar street lamp. The normal solar street lamps are separate each component, such as lamp, solar module, controller, and battery. However, this semi-integrated solar street lamp integrates with major 2 parts- one solar module and the other part is controller with in-build battery (Li-ion/LifePo4) integrated with lamp is, separated using cable.

iii)          About All-in-one/Fully Integrated Solar Street Light

All in one Solar street light have in-built solar panel, charge controller, lithium-ion battery/Lithium phosphate battery, LED light and dusk to dawn sensor.

All in one Solar street light are available in 9watt to 30 watt.

These batteries are non-aqueous nearly half of the weight of LA batteries and also get faster charged.
